The Mayor of Townsville (voiced by Tom Kenny in the series and Jim Cummings in the What a Cartoon! episodes) is normally referred to as "Mayor" throughout, while his wife refers to him as "Barney" in the episode "Boogie Frights." He is small and ancient, with a white hair fringe around his bald skull and a big white mustache. He's got a monocle over his left eye and a little top hat that hovers above his head. The Mayor is a moron, but he really cares about his community. He like pickles and can be rather childish at times. He sometimes phones the girls for ridiculous reasons, as shown in the episode "Bubblevicious," when he calls due to a traffic delay. The Mayor in the What a Cartoon! episode "Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins" was younger, taller, and more capable than the Mayor in the series.
