Even with Brian Hull replacing Adam Sandler as Dracula's voice actor, the quality of the performance remains high. I couldn't tell the difference between Brian Hull's Dracula voice and Adam Sandler's because they sounded so similar. Even though the animation quality has improved since the first film was released in 2010, this one still includes some silly parts, as did the third film. Which was amusing to me at the time, but you never know what may happen.

Johnny and Mavis are married and have a kid, Dennis, in the second film. While Drac attempts to get Dennis to use his vampire powers, Johnny accepts a trip to California with Mavis in order to contemplate relocating back to his parents' house in the area. Johnny is a minor player in the final confrontation because of his human limitations, but the danger to his life lets Dennis display his vampire features. On vacation, Johnny reverts back to his lazy ways and becomes the hotel's DJ, while still enjoying his time off. This doesn't stop him from being an integral part in defeating both the Kraken and the macarena, using his portable DJ booth as a means of calming the monster down.
