I have a Django-based web application where images and animated GIFs can be uploaded. GIF, on the other hand, takes a long time to load. I was thinking about converting all uploaded gifs to webm format and displaying them on the frontend with the HTML5 video tag. I looked everywhere for a way to do this in Python but couldn't find a specific solution. This is the solution I discovered. But I'm wondering if it's possible to convert a gif into a webm while uploading in Python, or if there's a Python library that can do this.
