Second, there's Rossano Galante's music. He is a very successful composer and orchestrator of the music for several major Hollywood productions, according to his imdb page. When judged separately, this is probably the best aspect of the film. And it's not a sign of frugality. Many scenes have their own 'custom' written music. It perfectly supports various moods and levels of tension. Third, the film begins with a very nice animation that shows the opening credits. That is, after the prologue, of course. It wasn't cheap - clearly not - but at least they tried to make something out of it rather than going the easy route of embedding some hard coded titles directly into the film. This animation sequence reminds me of the frame around a painting. It adds something special to the film's presentation. It definitely sets the tone. Listening to the music and watching the animation It's all making me want to see the film.
It Follows is a film that will have you rolling your eyes while watching it, but it will stay with you long after the credits have rolled. The premise is that in a small town, a sexually transmissible curse is being passed down from adolescent to adolescent.
