Yuno was a wizard with incredible strength and control, but Asta couldn't use magic at all and sought to compensate by training physically. When they were 15, Yuno received a beautiful book with a four-leaf clover (usually people get a three-leaf clover), whereas Asta received nothing. When Yuno was threatened, the truth about Asta's power was exposed, and he got a five-leaf clover Grimoire, a "black clover!"
