Angelo Olaf Vang, age 5, of Maple Grove, died on March 28th at St Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN of juvenile pulmonary hypertension. Angelo was born at 23 weeks and 15 ounces on July 23, 2016. Before adoption, he spent the first 18 months of his life in the loving care of M Health Children's Hospital. Angelo's sparkling grin and contagious laugh gave delight to everyone he encountered. He was a big fan of Disney movies, Sonic the Hedgehog, music, literature, and Bowser. He overcame Bowser one final time on his Nintendo Switch only hours before his death. Grandma Meg, Aunt Ev, and Great Grandma Betty preceded her in death. Mom, Kelly, and dad, Willie, Grandpa Bob, Grandpa Dave, Grandma Beth, and Grandma Kristine survive him, as do many caring members of his team who helped to his development, including friends, relatives, nurses, physicians, and teachers. The funeral will be held at Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Road 24 in Wayzata, on Thursday, April 7th at noon. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at the church.
