2Isaac said, âI am now an elderly man and have no idea when I will die.â 3Now, get your gearâyour quiver and bowâand go out into the broad country to hunt some wild wildlife for me. 4Prepare good food for me and bring it to me to eat so that I may give you my blessing before I die.â 5Now Rebekah was listening to Isaac's conversation with his son Esau. When Esau went out into the wide country to hunt game and bring it back, 6Rebekah told her son Jacob, âLook, I overheard your father say to your brother Esau, 7âBring me some game and prepare me some nice food to eat, so that I may give you my blessing in the face of the Lord before I die.â 8Now, my son, pay close attention and do what I say: 9Go out to the herd and fetch me two good young goats so I can make some delicious meal for your father precisely the way he loves it. 10Then take it to your father to eat so that he may bless you before he dies.â
11At that time, Jakob said to his mother, Rebekka, "See, my brother Ezau is a good guy, and I have a happy heart."
27:11 I have a happy heart - In other words, I am a happy guy.
12Misschien betast mijn vader mij; dan zal ik in zijn ogen zijn as een bedrieger, en ik zal een vloek over mij brengen and geen zegen.
24 And he said, "Are you my son Esau?" And he said, "I am." 25 Bring it close to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, so my soul may praise thee. And he brought it close to him, and he ate it; and he brought him wine, and he drank it.
26 Then his father Isaac whispered to him, â Come close and kiss me, my son. â 27 As a result, he approached him and kissed him. And Isaac scented his son's clothing and thanked him, saying, "See, n the fragrance of my son is like the smell of a field that the Lord has blessed!" 28 May God bless you with o the dew of heaven and the fatness of the ground, as well as p abundance of grain and wine. 29 Allow individuals to serve you and countries to bow down to you. r Be king over your brothers, and may your mother's sons serve you. s Everyone who curses you is cursed, and everyone who blesses you is blessed!
Genesis 27 3
Or, as some have done with Prometheus, we might see Satan's attempts as pitiful deterrents to God's purposes, more akin to minor annoyances than important resistance and catalysts. I sometimes wonder what would have occurred if Satan had not been here. Perhaps there would have been a time when Adam and Eve were ready to eat the fruit, and the Father would have encouraged or perhaps compelled them to do so. And it's possible that this would have been a better kind of learning and developing experience for them.

Humans do not have a soul (as Greeks believed), rather they are a soul. Their physical body is the tangible manifestation of a body/soul/spirit union.
27 So he approached him and kissed him. When Isaac smelled his son's garments, he thanked him and exclaimed, "Ah, the scent of my son is like the fragrance of a field that the LORD has blessed." 28 May God shower you with the dew of heaven and the riches of the soil, as well as an abundance of grain and fresh wine.
[6:19] And you must bring two of every sort of living creature, of all flesh, into the ark to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. [6:20] Two of each species must come in to you, to keep them alive, of the birds according to their kinds, and of the animals according to their kinds, and of every crawling creature of the ground according to its kind.
Genesis 27 Commentary
27:46 Rebekah's subtlety is on display once again. She makes an ostensible reason for sending Jacob away while avoiding discussing her weary of life (BDB 880 I) to Esau. Isaac seemed to have respected her reasoning (cf. Gen. 28:1-2). In Genesis 26:34, 35, we learn that Esau married two Canaanite (Heth, BDB 366, comp. Gen. 23:3,10) women. 13th verse - And his mother answered to him, Upon me be thy curse, my son (cf. 1 Samuel 25:24; 2 Samuel 14:9; Only heed my words (i.e. do as I tell you, follow my orders), and go get me - or, go and take for me) ( sc . the two kids I spoke of). (See Genesis 43:9 and Matthew 27:25.) Tempted to dismiss Rebekah's words as the utterances of a daring and unscrupulous woman (Aben Ezra), we should perhaps consider them to be inspired by faith in the Divine promise, which had already indicated that of her two sons, Jacob should take precedence (Willet, Calvin, Lange), and that there was every reason to anticipate not a malediction, but a benediction.. do as I direct you, follow my instructions), and go fetch me And he went and grabbed them, and brought them to his mother, who prepared savory meat for his father.
23rd verse
And he couldn't tell him apart since his hands were hairy - We might deduce from this that Isaacâs sense of feeling was severely hampered by his current illness. When he couldn't tell the skin of a child from the flesh of his son, we can see that he was in a suitable condition to be imposed on by his wife's deception and his younger son's guile.
Genesis 27 Kjv
53 Now, here is where the legalists and Calvinists sometimes get confused up. See? They ask, âWhy were some destined to perish? â God does not want anybody to perish. He does not want anybody to perish, yet as God, He is aware that some will refuse to receive It. See? See, heâ€TMs gotâ€TM To be God, he had to know the end from the beginning. Didn't He? 54 So He knew He'd have some women, so He simply created their spirit right there. He did, according to the Bible, in Genesis 1:26, âHe made he him, man,â in the prefigure, âmale and female.â Amen. See? In a foreshadowing move, He created the woman and man before they were formed from the dust of the ground.

21 And the Lord God induced a deep slumber in Adam, and he slept; and he removed one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in its place;
25 And he replied, bring it close to me, and I will eat of my son's venison to bless thee with my soul. And he brought it close to him, and he ate; and he brought him wine, and he drank. 26 And his father Isaac said to him, "Come close now, my son, and kiss me."
