The race is genie, and the subraces are dao. This is my Dungeons & Dragons blog! I'll use the example of the homebrew race I built on dndbeyond to help list these issues. The race has 60 darkvision, while the subrace has 120. (drow, duergar). That's exactly what the software is designed for.
And all of the vocabulary I used for the Roo language is simply Australian slang, with a few words/translations changed to fit a fantastical D&D scenario. If you want to utilize the race, it's not difficult to create new slang for the language. Simply make up silly-sounding terms or plagiarize from the British. That's exactly what we did.
