Zeref is a difficult guy to understand. Don't make up your mind about him until you've read them. Fairy Tail has a diverse cast of characters with terrible backstories. The primary adversary, Zeref, is maybe the most intricate of them all. Though Zeref's existence begins as a mystery, his truth gradually emerges as the narrative advances towards its conclusion.

Zeref is considered to have been the darkest, most wicked Mage in the history of the Magic World, mastering the Black Arts and producing a slew of Demons, some of which are still doing havoc today. [12]In the present day, Zeref craves isolation and is composed, truthful, and troubled. [13] He aspires to die in order to atone for all of the crimes he has done and will commit in the future. He displays sympathy for others by warning them not to approach him, knowing that they will perish if they do. Using his own study, he was able to restore his life via the application of Etherious magic he created. Etherious Natsu Dragneel is exactly who he is, END! Happy warns Natsu not to get caught up in the falsehoods, but Natsu declares that he would not trust him no matter what since he is just there to accomplish one thing and one thing alone. Natsu tells about Igneel and how he was unable to beat END because he loved END and Natsu too much. They explain about Tartaros and how it founded the guild, but Mard Geer was never intended to find it. When he tosses the END book on the ground, Zeref shoots a hole in it, affecting Natsu and showing that he is END.

Zeref admits that this is correct, but only because Igneel couldn't bring himself to murder a kid. Natsu is still unable to accept that he is an E.N.D. rather than a human, but when Zeref fires a beam via the END book, Natsu feels the anguish as well. Zeref sharpens the knife even further when he confesses that he requested Igneel to keep an eye on Natsu, and that Natsu was really a ruse in a scheme to train Dragon Slayers to battle Acnologia in the future. Natsu has no idea what to do with this knowledge and was planning to kill Zeref anyhow. But if Zeref dies, Natsu will perish as well. As a result, Happy prevents Natsu from delivering the crucial strike, and the bout is postponed until another day.

Freed might impose laws while his crew bought him time, which would completely destroy the Frieza Fodders. After a year of training, Natsu's aura was hot enough to melt the stadium, which was carelessly lowballing him to roughly 1,100 Celsius. You can't tell me that heat like that wouldn't have an impact on these men. He's also melted himself out of a steel casket at roughly 1,600 degrees Celsius. Natsu also used a punch to one-shot a deity. This is the same deity who can break the earth in two with a single sword strike. It's not like the EOS FT guys are weak. DB is on a different level, yet fodder like these troops won't be able to defeat the gang.
