She also serves as the dealer in the Nim Type Zero game alongside Yumeko Jabami and the others. Runa is wary of Miyo, particularly after she has defeated Yuriko. She approaches her, claiming that she had defeated her "fair and square." Runa then goes through the regulations with them and cautions them about the serve chips. Ryota Suzui is asked to give her a number between 10 and 30, so she may shuffle the cards at random. When Yumeko is poisoned, Runa informs them that she is unable to help since the poisoning occurred before the game began. She claims she has no control over anything prior to the game. Runa is amazed by how quickly Ryota consented to Miyo's risky restrictions. She shuffles the cards once again and strikes the gong to begin the second round. When Mary encourages Ryota to expose his cards, Runa steps in and says it's against the rules. She does, however, emphasize that "accidentally" dropping your cards is not prohibited. Runa is entertaining, with Mary Saotome fooling and then defeating Miyo. She is pleased that Mary noticed the shuffle pattern.
